Steel and Aluminum Duty Increase Effective March 23, 2018

As you may have heard on the news, there has been a tariff increase on steel and aluminum importations. According to the US Customs and Border Protection, importers must pay an additional 25% duty on steel and 10% duty on aluminum (except from Mexico and Canada) starting March 23, 2018. The reason for the increase is to encourage U.S companies to purchase these products from U.S producers rather overseas. Below, you can find the 6 digit HTS affected for steel and aluminum products. If you have any concerns over the upcoming tariff increase, please contact our brokerage department or your sales representative; they would be happy to answer any questions. Thank you for all your continuous support.
