ILWU Shut Down Terminals at West Coast Ports

The International Longshore and Warehouse Union dockworkers were still causing disruption early Monday morning in terminals at the Los Angeles, Long Beach, Oakland, Seattle and Tacoma ports.

Dockworkers stopped job actions to apply pressure to the PMA's ongoing negotiation. The ILWU is demanding a wage increase of $7.50 per hour for each year proposed. With the dockworkers delaying workflow, instead of 25 to 26 lifts per crane per hour it has declined to 20 lifts.

CSL Operations Team will advise you as soon as possible what effects, if any, to your pending shipments. Contact us if you have any questions.
